CPR - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation which is an emergency technique used to save a victim who is not breathing and who doesn't have a heart beat. 

 

 

CPR is a graduation requirement.  We will be learning about hands only CPR. Each student will be preforming a CPR practical that is a Pass or Fail grade. (70% grade for the semester) Practice the 5 steps!

 

CPR STEPS:

Step 1: Check the scene for safety

Step 2: Check the victim (tap and shout "are  you ok?")

Step 3: Call or have someone call 911

Step 4: Care: Look, listen and feel for no longer than 10 seconds

Step 5: Provide chest compression (about 100 per minute) Hands must be placed on the center of chest with fingers interlocked and responder must push down about 2 inches.
